DR. PRABHAT PODDAR

Dr. Prabhat Poddar – architect, engineer and urban planner

Dr. Prabhat Poddar, an Indian architect from Pondicherry, is an expert in Vedic architecture. Thanks to decades of research, he was able to demonstrate the correspondence between the laws of nature underlying Vastu Vidya and the architecture of different cultures.

Over the course of his experience, Prabhat has perfected a method for correcting existing homes, buildings and businesses, neutralizing negative influences.

Prabhat was born in Bombay on August 8, 1949, into a family of successful entrepreneurs. Since 1953, from the age of 4 he grew up at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, where his family had settled due to their spiritual orientation. He studied at the “Sri Aurobindo” International Center of Education in Pondicherry, where he also attends university studies in Building Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning.

Starting from the 1970’s, he collaborates with research and design studios from all over the world. Between 1970 and 1983 he is coordinator of the group project for the universal city of Auroville (www.auroville.org). In 1998 he is appointed chief architect and urban planner for the Golden City project, built in southern India, near Chennai.

His relentless research in the fields of geobiology, Vastu architecture and holistic health are lifelong passions. Prabhat set himself the goal of investigating the ancient Indian system of architectural knowledge, as also those of other cultures in the world and to made this knowledge available through various modern technologies.

At present, Prabhat is being invited all over the world to correct the energy of houses, apartments and companies.

Prabhat’s work is diffused around the world in courses and seminars aimed at people who wish to learn this knowledge and approach.

Prabhat left his body on 11 December 2021.
